ALTEC 670 A RIBBON MICROPHONE

A staple of the Middle Ridge Studio mic locker. I give some brief thoughts on the mic while speaking into it and then record a quick demo featuring acoustic guitar, piano and drums all using the Altec 670 A into the ‪Heritage Audio 312L 500 series preamp. The preamp came in handy with the "Ribbon & SM7" button adding tons of extra clean gain for the low output of the ribbon mic. I tracked bass along side, but it was DI'd into the 312L.

BEYERDYNAMIC M610N DYNAMIC MICROPHONE

The vintage ‪Beyerdynamic M610N through our ‪BAE Audio 1073MPL 500 series unit. I give some brief thoughts on the mic while speaking into it and then record a quick demo featuring acoustic guitar, electric guitar, drums and synth all using the Beyerdynamic M610N into the ‪BAE Audio 1073MPL 500 series preamp.
